Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute - VJTI Mumbai
Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute or VJTI Mumbai, established in 1887 and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The institute was renamed as Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). It is one of the 14 institutes selected by the Central Government for development in Engineering education post-independence with grant-in-aid from the Centre. VJTI is an autonomous institution owned by the Maharashtra state government. It is selected under TEQIP-II for the establishment of Centre of Excellence (CoE) in 'Complex and Nonlinear Dynamical Systems' with a funding of Rs 5 crores by World Bank through the National Project Implementation Unit, MHRD.
The institute’s faculty is recognised for its testing and consultancy work for clients like MCGM, MMRDA, MIDC, MJP, Shapoorji Palonji, Godrej, Mahindra, etc. Sponsored laboratories at the institute include the high voltage laboratory, courtesy Siemens; and the Computational Fluid Dynamics laboratory, courtesy B.A.R.C. The institute is popularly known for its programmes in Engineering and Technology at the diploma, degree, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

- VJTI Mumbai offers various degree and diploma programmes with numerous specialisations. The duration of BTech and MTech programmes is four and two years, respectively. The college also offers BTech Lateral Entry in Computer Engineering. On the other hand, MCA and PhD are offered for three years.
